Yesterday I shared the first part of a three part series in which airline industry experts discuss the approaching pilot shortage that is expected in the near future. Today we look at part two of the series.
The second part of this series focuses on a presentation by Paul Rice, who is the First Vice President of the Airline Pilots Association (ALPA). Captain Rice has an interesting perspective on the airline business which comes from being both a Boeing 747 Captain for a major airline and an Executive Officer for the world’s largest pilot union. Captain Rice is also representative of the thousands of pilots who have been successful airline pilots without any military flight training experience.
The series was presented by Moderator Peter J. Wolfe, Executive Director of The Professional Aviation Board of Certification (PABC).
